This film was released on 13th feb. Directed by Priyadarshan and expected to be a good movie.
This movie was about a barber 'Billu' played by Irfaan Khan & how his life is changed when a renowned filmstar Sahir Khan played by SRK comes to his village. I had a lot of hope with this movie due to two reasons: 1) Priyadarshan was coming up with a movie after so long.
2) Lead is played by a great actor Irfaan Khan.
but my hope shattered when I watched the movie because I think the simplicity which was used to be the speciallity of Priyadarshan's movie was lost due to over hyped character of Shahrukh Khan.
Many times I got the feeling that SRK is playing the main lead and that's where I felt that the film was failed. Irfaan Khan once again proved with his acting that he is one of the finest actor this industry has ever ever seen. Lara Dutta was effective in the character of a simple house wife of village. Mistakes do happen but Priyadarshan is a talented filmmaker & we can hope a better movie from him next time.

Times of India given it 3 star and Zoom 3 and half. In most of the cases the movie got good review and positive one as well.
As far as the movie is concerned I have watched the movie in online and surprised that this kind of movie has got 2 star here. What they are looking for, I guess a vulger movie like Dev D. Crictics should think in the manner the common public feel.
The movie is great.Have plenty of good messages like friendship, dignity etc and superb performances.
The story has the flow. The film has lots of light and enjoyable moment and the climax is awesome. Songs are good and go with the story.
Not a single loop hole. For me it deserves 4 star.
I respect your point.But what I wrote strictly belongs to what I feel about the movie you may feel the other way. I agree that the movie had some good messages & concept was awesome but my concern is its presentation. I felt the simplicity of the movie was lost somewhere due the over hyped portrayal of SRK's character. Movie could be better. you can't compare Dev D and Billu. Both were from entirely different kind of directors and are made for different purposes.I appreciate your interest in the blog & hope that u will continue it in the future. Its encouraging.
